Job Responsibilities

Planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in one or more subjects based on the curriculum. Assessing and/or grading students' knowledge, skills, and development. Documentation and reporting of students' results, absences, and other tasks are included in the assignment, as well as participating in parent meetings, development discussions, conferences, and other meetings.

As a pedagogical leader, you have an important role in creating a safe, stimulating, and democratic learning environment for students. The work involves significant collaboration with colleagues.

Mentorship is included in the assignment.

Qualifications

A degree and teaching certification in craft for grades 4-9 are required for employment, as well as knowledge of the school's governing documents and curricula for your qualification.

The assignment requires good pedagogical insights and the ability to collaborate and build good relationships with students and colleagues. As a teacher, you need to feel secure and be clear in your role.

Previous work with students in need of support is an advantage (We may also be interested in candidates with other pedagogical education and can then offer a fixed-term employment according to the Education Act.)

Full-time position (100%)
Start date August 1 or according to agreement
Seasonal employment with 35 hours of scheduled working time and 10 hours of trust time per week on a full-time basis

About the Workplace

The Education Administration is one of the municipality's seven administrations. Our common mission is to create welfare and sustainable community development. Together with the residents of Piteå, businesses, and associations, we are developing Piteå into an even better place to live, work, and thrive. Currently, about 220 students attend Porsnässkolan's middle school, and approximately 26 people work here. The unit also includes the lower grades, which are located a bit further away. We are a school with a vision for the future, and we are actively working on the design of the new school that will be built, accommodating grades 4-9.
